The acquisition of Gorant by the Youngstown Chocolate group in 2023 begins a new chapter for the 75-year-old chocolate maker. This ownership changes puts Gorant's under the same ownership and management of prominent Valley brands: One Hot Cookie, OH Donut Co., Sweet Sips, and Sweet Marketing and Management. With the addition of Gorant Chocolates to the portfolio these combined brands employ over 75 Valley residents throughout the year with additional team members added during the summer and peak holiday seasons.

The recipes that the Valley has enjoyed for years remain the same as production follows the original recipes created by the Gorant Brothers. The production facility has been right sized and modernized and is located at the flagship location. An additional storage facility is located in Youngstown. 

 A chocolate bar where families can enjoy hot beverages such as coffee and hot chocolate, ice cream sundaes, and mouth-watering innovations, all made with Gorant's legendary formula will open at the flagship location in 2025. 

The Gorant menu of products include a variety of chocolates, including our family assortments, individual showcase pieces, chocolate molds, chocolate covered pretzels, and of course our signature Yum Yums®, and many, many more. We use only the very best flavorings and ingredients to make our gourmet chocolates.
